Crossflow Wet Scrubbers

CRAIG Equipment installs Tri-Mer Industrial Wet Scrubbers where reliable control of corrosive gases and fumes is required—efficient, low-water systems for demanding industries.

Tri-Mer Crossflow Industrial Scrubber

Guarantee your operating permit level for HCl, HNO3, HF, H2SO4, Cl2 and NH3

Tri-Mer Horizontal Crossflow  Industrial Wet Scrubbers maintain stack emissions levels in accordance with local permits for all input concentrations. Outlet requirements based on percent removal can also be guaranteed.

Key to the performance of this system is high liquid flow recirculation, which provides intense contact between the contaminant and scrubbing liquid.

Two-Stage Scrubbing

Tri-Mer industrial scrubbers have two stages. The first stage removes most contaminant from the air stream and may be continuously wetted to prevent plugging. Stage two is a mist eliminator.

In a wet scrubber, water or scrubbing liquid removes pollutants from the air. When the water is recirculated, the addition of fresh water is necessary to purge contaminants and replace evaporation losses. Fresh water may be added to the recycling continuously or periodically.

Removal of Acid Fumes

Industrial scrubbers are often used to remove acid fumes. Strong alkali is added to the recycled scrubbing solution to neutralize the acids and maintain a neutral pH.

Features

Tri-Mer Corporation provides complete wet scrubber systems with a full range of auxiliaries and optional components. Each system includes:

  • All internal components required for proper process capture and to achieve the designed performance.
  • A mist eliminator for effective entrained liquid separation.
  • Flanged connections for external water fill, makeup, and drain piping, as required.
  • Optional control systems to automatically feed makeup water, maintain liquid levels, and monitor pressure.
  • Optional fan assembly, if specified.
  • Protective coating on external surfaces, using corrosion-resistant paint where necessary.
  • A self-contained recirculation system or a remote recycle tank.

All wet scrubbers are equipped with randomly dumped Tri-Pack packing, with the packing depth determined by Tri-Mer Corporation to ensure optimal performance.
