Indoor Air Qualilty Systems

Craig Equipment helps warehousing, manufacturing and agricultural facilities create healthy working environments for their workers with Cambridge Air Solutions products.

Indoor Air Qualilty Systems Types

Heating Systems

For many commercial and industrial buildings that do not require space cooling, non-centralized equipment such as unit heaters provide space heating to building occupants. Unit heaters are a traditional method of providing heat in large commercial and industrial facilities throughout the U.S.

Technologies that are commonly used in heating and ventilation of large open spaces are air turnover, recirculation, make-up air, infrared, unit heating, and high temperature heating and ventilation (HTHV).

When looking for the right commercial or industrial heating system, it is important to choose a solution that provides sufficient space heating, ample air filtration, and is both energy and cost efficient. Your solution will ensure a more comfortable environment for your employees and will be long lasting, saving you money in the long run.

Evaporative cooling systems

Evaporative coolers provide cool tempered air by converting hot dry air through a series of evaporative processes. This process works by pulling warm air through a series of dampened pads to draw out the air’s natural heat and inject a cooler air into your work space. While the concept has been used in residential applications like “swamp” coolers in the Southwest for decades, technology advances have made evaporative cooling a viable alternative to conventional cooling in commercial and industrial buildings in other areas of the country. Manufacturers have begun to offer two-stage (“indirect-direct”) evaporative cooling systems that offer greater cooling effectiveness, extending the geographic range where evaporative cooling can be used.

Make-up air

Make-up air is designed to “make up” the air in your interior space that has been removed due to process exhaust fans. This type of HVAC solution pulls in fresh, tempered air from outside your building to replace existing air that cannot be recirculated.

A make-up air solution is recommended for buildings where environmental conditions warrant a greater need for ventilation not only to improve the quality of air within the building, but also protect the health of those inside.
